The Making of Fashion’s First Ever 3D Lookbook
Tech IndustryTech and fashion merge anew in this exciting trailer for up and coming New York label, Chromat.
For Spring Summer 2015, MADE Fashion Week is throwing their support behind the sexy label by Brooklyn-based designer Becca McCharen. Inspired by her background in architecture and urban design, Chromat is a line of cage-like garments and harnesses adapting the lines of scaffolding, city maps, exoskeletons and nuanced undergarments.
MADE has filmed a documentary that takes you behind the scenes of the creation of Chromat’s first 3D Look Book, and leads up to the runway show at The Standard High Line tonight at 5 p.m. ET. To bring Chromat’s so-called “structural experiments for the human body” to life, they also partnered the label with Lytro, their official camera provider for the Spring/Summer 2015 season.
Harnessing the power of light field photography, the revolutionary LYTRO ILLUM camera captures the direction, color and brightness of every ray of light within a frame, creating interactive still images in which focus, perspective and depth of field can be manipulated even after the shot has been taken. The results are living, breathing pictures that render the full dimensionality of McCharen’s architectural collection — an exciting new frontier for fashion photography.
